International Wellbeing and Sustainability Forum held in Reykjavík 14-15th June

The Prime Minister's Office in cooperation with the Directorate of Health and the City of Reykjavík are organizing an International Wellbeing and Sustainability Forum in Harpa in Reykjavík on the 14-15th of June.

The Icelandic government has placed great emphasis on wellbeing and sustainability as part of its strategic plan to increase the quality of life of its citizens and future generations. The government has formulated wellbeing indicators and specific wellbeing priorities, as well as embarking on a journey to map out the road to sustainability with the publication of a green paper on sustainability and overall strategy later this year. Furthermore, Iceland has been an active member of the Wellbeing Economy Governments partnership along with Scotland, New Zealand, Wales, Finland, and Canada.

The Forum in June will help raise awareness about the importance of these issues with the aim of taking steps towards an even stronger wellbeing society. The Forum is a place where friends and interested parties can come together to discuss and build networks for a more prosperous wellbeing economy.

The Forum will combine Icelandic and International speakers. To name just a few, see the following list:

The Forum will be held in English and admission is free.
